Biography

First Generation

Timothy Cannon was baptized (along with his siblings) Barnstable 19 Apr 1691 son of ____ Cannon & Joanna Williamson (originally from Marshfield). He died aft 1715. Timothy married Barnstable 9 Nov 1711, (as her second husband) Elizabeth, daughter of Joseph Howland and widow of Isaac Ham(b)lin. Elizabeth and Timothy had two children (born Falmouth): Joanah (1712) and Ebenezer (1715).

Second Generation

Ebenezer Cannon was born Falmouth 1 May 1715 and died aft 19 Mar 1766. He married twice, first (int. Barnstable) 31 May 1735 Mercy Blossom and second Barnstable 30 Jul 1753 Patience Goodspeed. By his first wife, Ebenezer had six children (born Barnstable): Ebenezer (1735/6), Ruth (1738/9), Nathan (1741), Joanna (1743), Joseph (1745) and Timothy (unk if marr). By his second wife, he had four more children (born Barnstable): Mercy (1754), Ebenezer (1756 unk if marr), Ira (1760 unk if marr) and Ziba (1762).

Third Generation

Ebenezer Cannon (II) was born Barnstable 19 Mar 1735/6 and died Plymouth 25 Mar 1724. He married Dartmouth 29 Oct 1761 Experience Tupper and they had at least: Ebenezer (1767 m Silence Briggs & Hepzibah Nye) and Eliakim (1780 m Mary Howland).

Nathan Cannon was born Barnstable 10 Apr 1741 and died before 1769. He married Barnstable 23 Mar 1763 Thankful Bassett and they had at least Nathan (c1766 m Rachel Lander)

Joseph Cannon was born Barnstable 14 Dec 1745 and died Pinefield, NY 8 Jun 1807. He married Rochester 24 Nov 1768 Abigail Dexter and they had ten children: Nathaniel (c1769), Weight (1770 m Persis Miller), Blossom (c1772), Clark (c1773 m Orpha ___), Ancel (c1774), Dexter (c1776), Eliza Jane (1780), Joseph (1782 m Rachel Huyck), Abigail (c1783) and Rachel (c1791).

The Cannon surname DNA Project currently does not have any Y-DNA descendants of Timothy Cannon. It is unknown if he has any living Y-DNA descendants.
