Previous Y-DNA testing

The Sherman DNA project fails to list any descendants of William Sherman, but lists descendants of Samuel & Philip Sherman (both from Dedham, Essex, England).

NGS testing

One member has completed a Big Y-700 test and has been found to fall under: R-L21>S552>DF13>FGC5494>A12897>BY70198>FT42360

NGS/WGS testing

Testing of descendants of William Sherman would confirm an assignment and possibly identify subclades linked to descendants.
