  • NGS/WGS test multiple descendants of William Green to place the family clade as well as test descendants to discover any subclades unique to descendants lines


First Generation

William Green (birth and parentage unknown) died Plymouth 7 Oct 1685. He married abt 1683 Elizabeth Warren and they had one child (born Plymouth): William (1684).

Second Generation

William Green (II) was born Plymouth 24 Apr 1684 and died Barnstable 28 Jan 1756. He married twice, first 1709 Desire Bacon (a descendant of John Howland) and second Barnstable 1 Sep 1731 Mary Fuller (a descendant of Edward Fuller)(no children). By his first wife, William had seven children (first born Plymouth, rest Barnstable): Mary (1710), Warren (1712), Desire (1718), William (1721), Sarah (1723), John (1726) and James (1728).

Previous Y-DNA testing

The Green DNA Project currently does not list anyone claiming William Green (died 1685) as their Most Distant Known Paternal Ancestor (MDKPA).

Further needed testing

We need additional direct male-line descendants of William Green to WGS/NGS test to discover the haplogroup/clade for the family.
