- The only contemporary record for Elizabeth is the Marshfield record of her death. As such, it is possible she may not have been Thomas' only wife, and may not be the mother of his children (or at least some of them).
- It is possible she may have been the Elizabeth Fisher who married St Alkmund, Derby, Derbyshire 21 Dec 1607 to Thomas Burne.
- The only known record for her.
- See WikiTree profile for Thomas Bourne for a possible identification of Thomas and his wife, based on the names of their children.
- She was called aged 75 (which may simply have been an estimate) at the time of her death in 1683.
- First child born 8 Aug 1638.
- Estimate, based on first married in 1638. She may have been the Elizabeth "Burne", daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth (Fisher) Burne baptized 29 Oct 1620 St. Alkmund's Derby.
- See Wikitree Profile for Ann Bourne for speculation about her name being "Sarah Ann".
- Estimate based on married 1639/40, two years after her sister, Elizabeth. She may have been the "Anna Burne" daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth (Fisher) Burne [(https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:NKGW-YM9 baptized] Sep 1614 St. Alkmund's Derby.
- Their youngest child, Mehitable, was recorded born 4 Jul 1655 at Marshfield It is possible they were visiting family back there when this child was born.
- Given the fact many of the children appeared to be born in one year intervals, it is likely the family had a "wet nurse" as breastfeeding children typically doubles as a form of birth control (which is why it is much more typical to see children born every other year).
- Estimate, based on first husband born 1617. She may have been the Martha "Burnds", daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth (Fisher) Burne baptied 27 Feb 1630[/1] St. Alkmund's, Derby.
- It appears where Martha may have been a SISTER to Margaret (Bourne) Winslow, rather than her daughter.

Previous mtDNA testing
Two matrilineal descendants (a mother and her daughter) report at WikiTree where they are matrilineal descendants of Elizabeth and state they fall under the H9a mtDNA haplogroup. They also reported where the only "extra" mtDNA mutations they have beyond the H9a haplogroup are four common insertions in the Hyper Variable Region (which are not used to define clades). Accord to [formed 10700 ybp, TMRCA 4000 ybp YTree.com H MTree] H9a formed 10700 years before present (ybp), TMRCA 4000 ybp. As such, mtDNA results cannot be used to identify matrilineal descendants of Elizabeth, but all such matrilineal descendants of Elizabeth must fall under the H9a mtDNA haplogroup. Anyone who believes they descend in a direct female line (ie mother's mother's mother's etc mother) is encouraged to contact MayflowerDNA1620@gmail.com
