First Generation

Alice Richards, daughter of Thomas Richards and Welthian Loring was baptized Pitminster, Somerset 7 Apr 1629 and died Plymouth 12 Dec 1671. The family was in Dorchester (now part of Boston) by 1634 and may have came over on the Mary & John in 1630. Alice married (Maj.) William Bradford (II) in Plymouth shortly after 23 Apr 1650 and they had ten children (Plymouth): John (1653), William (1655), Thomas (1657), Alice (c1659), Hannah (c1661), Mercy (c1662), Samuel (1668), Melatiah (1664), Mary and Sarah.

Second Generation

Alice Bradford was born Plymouth abt 1659 and died Canterbury, CT 10 Mar 1745. She married twice, first Dedham 29 Jan 1680 John Adams and second Norwich, CT 8 May 1687 James Fitch (II). By her first husband Alice had four children: Elizabeth (1680/1), Alice (1682), William (1683) and Abial (dau 1685). By her second husband (James Fitch) Alice had seven more children: Abigail (1687), Ebenezer (1689), Daniel (1692), Lucy (c1697), Jerusha (1699), Theophilus (c1701) and Jabez (1703).

Hannah Bradford was born Plymouth 9 May 1662 and died Windham, CT 28 May 1738. She married Windham 28 Nov 1682 Joshua Ripley, Esq. and they had twelve children: Alice (1683), Hannah (1684/5), Faith (1686), Joshua (1688), Margaret (1690), Rachel (twin, 1693), Leah (twin, 1693), Hezekiah (1695), David (1697), Irena (1700), Jerusha (twin, 1704) and Ann (twin, 1704).

Mercy Bradford was born Boston 2 Sep 1660 and died Hartford, CT bef 5 Apr 1720. She married Hartford 16 Sep 1680 Samuel Steel(e) and they had eight children: Thomas (1681), Elizabeth (1682/3), Samuel (twin, 1684/5), Jerusha (twin, 1684/5), William (1687/8), Abiel (dau, 1693), Daniel (1697) and Eliphalet (1700).

Melatiah Bradford was born Plymouth 1 Nov 1664 and died Killingworth, CT 24 Apr 1739. She married twice, first Plymouth 1684 John Steele and second 1691 Samuel Stevens. By her first husband, she had three children: Bethia (c1690), John (1692) and Ebenezer (1695). By her second husband she had two additional children: Elizabeth (c1703) and William (1705/6).

Mary Bradford was born Plymouth 1668 and died Chilmark 7 May 1720. She married abt 1687 William Hunt and they had two children: Mary (1687/8) and William (1693).

Sarah Bradford was born Plymouth 1671 and died Marshfield abt 18 Oct 1705. She married bef Oct 1688 Kenelm Baker and they had ten children: Sarah (1688), Alice (1690), Eleanor (1692), Abigail (1693), Kenelm (1695), Bethiah (1699), Keziah (1701), Samuel (1703), Edward (twin, 1705) and William (twin, 1705)
