Previous Y-DNA testing

The FTDNA Rider Rydar Ryder DNA Project currently contains six individuals, all of whom have taken the Big Y-700 test and all descend from Samuel (I) Ryder.

NGS/WGS testing

To date, six members of the Rider-Ryder DNA Project have taken a Big Y test. All six are descended from Samuel Rider and Anne Gimlett. Three of the individuals fall under R1b-U106>>Z381>>Z9>>Z326>Z8168>A5011>PH2647>FGC52801>BY20420 and the other three fall under a subclade of BY20420>FTB10997. These latter three all descend as follows: Samuel, Benjamin, Benjamin, Benjamin, Daniel.[1]

Further needed testing

We need additional direct male-line descendants of Samuel Rider (and preferably of his son Samuel [II]) to WGS/NGS test to discover the haplogroup/clade for the family.
