First Generation
William Collier was born in England about 1585, date, place and parentage unknown. He died Plymouth bef 5 Jul 1671 (probate record). He married St Olave, Southwark, Surrey Jane Yates (widow of Thomas Clark(e)) and they had thirteen children: Mary (1611/2), Hannah (1613-1625), Rebecca (1614/5), Sarah (1616), John (1616/7-1618), Elizabeth (1618/9), John (1619/20-1625), Catherine (1621-1621/2), James (1622/3-1624), Martha (1624-1625), William (1625-1625), Lydia (1625/6-1625/6) and Ruth (1627). Since he had no surviving sons, there is no way to discover his Y-DNA Haplogroup.
