Previous Y-DNA testing
The Gray/Grey surname DNA Project has two conflicting subgroups both claiming to fall under Edward Gray. The First subgroup falls under 1.1.1.1.. R1b M173>M343>M269>P312>Z290>L21 >DF13>Z39589>Z251>16943>BY23665 (Edward Gray b. 1623 of Plymouth Colony- but See Z2186) has five individuals while the second group 1.1.1.1.1 R1b M173>M343>M269>P312>Z290>L21>DF13>ZZ10>Z253>Z2186 (Edward Gray b. 1623 of Plimouth Colony-but See Z251) only has one individual.
Further needed testing
More information and analysis is needed to identify which group correctly has Edward Gray and his Y-DNA descendants.
