Biography

First Generation

Rebecca Barker was born Marshfield about 1652, daughter of Robert & Luce/Lucy (-----) Barker.[1] She died Marshfield 28 Apr 1711. Rebecca married twice, first Marshfield Mar 1670 Josiah Snow and second Marshfield 23 Nov 1694 John Sawyer (no children). By her first husband she had nine children (Marshfield): Abigail (1670)[2], Lydia (1672), Mercy (1675), Deborah (1677-1681), Sarah (1680), Lusanna (1683), Rebecca (1685-1712 unm.), Bethiah (1687) and Abiah (c1692).

Second Generation

Lydia Snow was born Marshfield 5 Jul 1672 and died there 8 Apr 1716. She married Marshfield 1692 (Capt.) Nathaniel Winslow (II)[3] and they had eleven children (Marshfield): infant (1692/3), Lydia (1693/4), Thankful (1696), Snow (1698), infant daughter (1701), Oliver (1704), Nathaniel (1704-1707), Deborah (1708), Patience (1710 unk. if marr.) and Nathaniel (1712).

Mercy Snow was born Marshfield 29 Aug 1675 and died there 12 Jun 1731. She married Marshfield 7 Feb 1698 Gilbert Winslow (brother to Nathaniel above) and they had nine children (Marshfield): Isaachar (1699), Barnabas (1701), Gilbert (1704), Anthony (1707), Mercy (1710), Rebecca (1712), Job (1715), Benjamin (1717) and Lydia (1720-1723).

Sarah Snow was born Marshfield 8 Nov 1680 and died there 1 Mar 1725. She married Marshfield 27 Feb 1699 Samuel Baker (II) and they had eight children (Marshfield): Samuel (1701), Josiah (1703), Rebecca (1705-1715), Joshua (1710-1711), Joshua (1711-1753), Sarah (1713), Elisha (1715) and Nathaniel (1719).

Lusanna Snow was born Marshfield 7 Mar 1683 and died Pembroke 7 Mar 1732. She married twice, first Marshfield 16 Jun 1709 Joseph Waterman (II) and second Marshfield 3 Jun 1723 Thomas Tracy. By her first husband she had three children: Abigail (1710), Joseph (1712) and Abiah (1714). By her second husband she had one more child (Marshfield) Asaph (1723).

Bethiah Snow was born Marshfield Dec 1687 and died Duxbury 1 Oct 1761. She married Marshfield about 1706 John Sprague and they had eight children (Duxbury): Bethia (c1707), John (c1709), Rebecca (1711), Joanna (1715), Peleg (1716), Abijah (son, 1719), Susanna (c1721 unk. if marr.) and Asenath (c1723).

Abiah Snow was born Marshfield about 1692. She married Marshfield 2 Jan 1717 Nathan Thomas but they had no children prior to her early death on 1 Feb 1717/8[4]

Third Generation

Lydia Winslow was born Marshfield 24 Jan 169[?3/]4 and died there aft 1725. She married Marshfield 10 Dec 1718 Joseph Thomas and they had three children: Joseph (1719), Samuel (1721) and Zilpha (1725).

Thankful Winslow was born Marshfield abt 1695 and died likely in Plymouth. She married Pembroke 27 Oct 1725 Nathaniel Keen(e) and they had five children: Nathaniel (1726), Joshua (1730), Asa (1732), Snow (1734) and Thankful (1737).

Deborah Winslow was born Marshfield 22 Mar 1708. She married Pembroke 15 Dec 1742 Job Crooker and they had at least Elizabeth (1748).


Mercy Winslow was born Marshfield 1 Aug 1710 and died after 3 Mar 1772 (named in husband's will). She married Marshfield abt 1736 William Howland (a descendant of Arthur Howland, brother of Pilgrim John Howland) and they had two children: Rebecca (1737) and William (1741).

Rebecca Winslow was born Marshfield in 1712. She married in 1736 Adam Richardson and they had three children: Winslow (1737), Rebecca (1740) and Stephen (1743).


Sarah Baker was born Marshfield 25 Feb 1713 and died Little Compton, RI 29 Nov 1792. She married Newbury 30 Nov 1733 Fobes Little and they had eight children: Lucy (1734), Fobes (1736), Sarah (1739), Ruth (1742), Samuel (1747), Joseph (1749), John (1754) and Betsey (1757).


Abigail Waterman was born Marshfield 10 Apr 1710 and died Pembroke 4 Feb 1791. She married John Magoun and they had three children: Abigail (1732), Lusannah (1732) and John (1735).

Abiah Waterman was born Marshfield 11 Dec 1714 and died Middletown, CT 27 Feb 1782. She married twice, first Scituate 4 Jun 1730 John Eells, then Middletown Upper Houses (now Cromwell), CT 22 Sep 1765 Elijah Miller (no ch.) By her first husband she had six children: Waterman (1732), Abiah (1737), Lucy (1742), Hannah (1744), Lenthal (dau, 1745) and Joseph (1747).


Bethia Sprague was born Duxbury abt 1707 and died Harpswell, ME 1 Feb 1759. She married Duxbury 14 Dec 1732 David Curtis and they had seven children: Nehemiah (1733), Charles (1733), Ezekiel (1735), Paul (1737), Michael (1739), David (1741) and Ruth (1743 unm.)

Rebecca Sprague was born Duxbury 17 Feb 1711 and died there 25 Oct 1805. She married Duxbury 27 Jul 1732 Ezra Arnold and they had six children: Seth (1733), Gamaliel (1735), Rebecca (bp 1743-1763 unm.), Edward (1747), William (bp 1750) and Lucy (1751 m Edmund Freeman).

Joanna Sprague was born Duxbury Apr 1715 and died there 19 Mar 1766. She married Duxbury 19 Feb 1735 James Arnold and they had five children: Bildad (1735), Luther (1737), James (1740-1742), James (1745) and Benjamin (1752).

Aseneth Sprague was born Duxbury abt 1723 and died Scituate 14 Sep 1757. She married Duxbury 20 Apr 1742 Simeon Curtis and they had six children: Simeon (1743-1753), Melzar (1745), James (1747), Asenath (1749), Lusanna (1753) and Simeon (1756).

  2. According to WikiTree Abigail died 1 May 1712, apparently never married.
  3. Grandson of Kenelm Winslow, brother to (Gov.) Edward Winslow.
