First Generation

Deborah Morton, daughter of John Morton and Lettice ?Kempton was born Plymouth abt 1652 and died there abt 1678. She married (as his first wife) Plymouth abt 1672 Francis Coombs and they had two children (Middleborough): Deborah (1673) and Mercy (1675).

Second Generation

Deborah Coombs was born Middleborough "middle of" May 1673 and died aft 15 May 1711. She married bef 1696 Ralph Jones and they had six children (Barnstable): Deborah (1696 n.f.r.), Elizabeth (1698), Thankful (1701), Bethia (1706-1735/6 unm.), Cornelius (1709) and Silvanus (d. 1735/6).

Mercy Coombs was born Middleborough 3 Jan 1674/5 and died there 25 Mar 1718 in her 44th year. She married abt 1701 Samuel Barrows and they had five children (Middleborough): Ebenezer (1702), Coombs (1704), Robert (1709), Francis (1713) and Silvanus (1716).

Third Generation

Elizabeth Jones was born Barnstable 25 Nov 1698 and died aft 2 Mar 1738. She married Barnstable 9 Jun 1720 Timothy Jones and they had two children (Sandwich): Paul (1721) and Timothy (1726).

Thankful Jones was born Barnstable 12 Apr 1701 and died Yarmouth 24 Jan 1771. She married twice, first Barnstable 20 Oct 1733 John Jones then Barnstable 23 May 1745 Timothy Hallett (no ch.) By her first husband she had two children (Barnstable): Mercy (m Lemuel Eldredge, apparently only one son) and ____ (1738 n.f.r.)


CONCLUSION

There are currently no known surviving matrilineal lines of descent, but there are some females whose histories are unknown.

As of March 2023, no one has publlicly revealed where they are a matrilineal descendant of Deborah MORTON Coombs and have taken a mtDNA test. Matrilineal descendants are encouraged to contact MayflowerDNA1620@gmail.com
