Paper trail

First Generation

Robert Hicks/Hix is said to have been of London. He had married by 1603 Margaret ----- but left his wife and children behind (they came over in the Anne in 1623). Robert died Plymouth 24 May 1647. Robert and Margaret had nine children: Thomas (bp 1603/4 bur 1604), John (bp 1605 nfr), Sara (bp 1607 bur 1617/8), Richard (bp 1609 nfr), Samuel (bp 1611), Lydia (bp 1612 m Edward Bangs), Phoebe (bp 1614/5), Mary (bp 1617 bur 1619) and Ephraim (c 1625)

Second Generation

Samuel Hicks was baptized Bermondsey, Surrey 18 Aug 1611 and died Dartmouth aft 1 Jul 1672. He married Plymouth 11 Sep 1645 Lydia Doane and they had eleven children.

Ephraim Hicks was born New Plimoth about 1625 and died "a violent death" Plymouth 12 Dec 1649. He married there 13 Sep 1649 Elizabeth Howland but had no children.
