First Generation
Edward Bangs was born about 1591 and died Eastham bet. 19 Oct 1677 and 5 Mar 1677/8. He married twice, first abt 1632 Lydia Hicks then abt 1635 Rebecca -----. By his first wife he had: John (c 1634) and by his second wife he had nine children: Rebecca (c 1636), Sarah (c 1638), Jonathan (c 1640), Lydia (c 1642), Hannah (c 1644), Joshua (c 1646), Bethia (1650), Mercy (1651) and Apphia (1651).
Second Generation
John Bangs was born Plymouth c 1634 and died Eastham aft 27 Jan 1703. He married there 23 Jan 1661 Hannah Smalley but his will does not name any children.
(Capt.) Jonathan Bangs was born prob at Plymouth c 1640 and died Harwich 9 Nov 1728, aged 88 years (gravestone). He married thrice
(Capt.) Joshua Bangs was born prob. at Eastham c 1646 and died Eastham 14 Jan 1709/10. He married there 1 Dec 1669 Hannah Scudder but had no children.

One individual claiming patrilineal descent from Edward Bangs has taken the Big Y-700 test and been found to fall under: R-FT190614 NGS/WGS testing is needed to fully refine the haplogroup.
