Previous Y-DNA testing

The Payne DNA Project does not document anyone claiming Ralph Pain as their Most Distant Known Patrilineal Ancestor (MDKPA).[1]

  1. One individual claims a MDKPA as: "Edward Paine, b. 1799 NY; poss. Ralph Pain 1655"

Further needed testing

We need additional direct male-line descendants of Ralph Paine (and particularly through his son Thomas) to WGS/NGS test to both confirm the haplogroup assignmentas well as to refine the haplogroup further and delineate descendant clades.
