First Generation

Puella Hussey was born Nantucket 10th 10 mo. 1677, daughter of Stephen Hussey and Martha Bunker. She died Barnstable before 23 Sep 1748. Puella married Nantucket in May 1695 Shubael Gorham and they had ten children (Barnstable): George (1696/7), Abigail (1699), Lydia (1700), Hannah (1703), Theodate (1705), Daniel (1708), Desire (1710), Ruth (1713), Deborah (aft 1714) and Jonathan (d.y.)

Second Generation (all born Barnstable)

Abigail Gorham was born the latter end of Mar 1699[1] and died Barnstable (Hyannis) 28 Jun 1778. She married Barnstable 25 Oct 1716 James Lovell (II) and they had eleven children (Barnstable): Ruth (1718), Abigail (1719), Daniel (1722), Desire (1726), Susannah (1728), Deborah (1730), James (1732), Lydia (1735), Puella (1738), Shubael (1740) and Anna (1743).

Lydia Gorham was born 14 May 1701 and died Nantucket 1 Mar 1763. She married Nantucket 8 Sep 1729 Joseph Worth and they had twelve children (Sherborn [Nantucket]): Abigail (twin, 1721), Anna (twin, 1721), Nathaniel (1723), Reuben (1725), Silvanus (1727), Joseph (1729), Lydia (1731), Miriam (1734), Thomas (1736), Daniel (1739), William (1741) and Shubael (1745).

Hannah Gorham was born 28 Jul 1703 and died Nantucket 16 Aug 1751. She married twice, first Nantucket 24 Oct 1726 William Manning and second, Nantucket 21 Dec 1732 (as his second wife) William Stubbs. By her first husband she had two children (Nantucket): David (1727) and Phebe (1729). By her second husband she had two more children (Nantucket): Rebecca (1736) and Ann (1740).

Theodate Gorham was born 18 Jul 1705 and died Nantucket 6 Apr 1787. She married twice, first Nantucket 2 Nov 1727 Francis Coffin and second, Nantucket 4 Dec 1735 Reuben Gardner. By her first husband she had three children (Nantucket): Peleg (1728), William (1730) and Judith (1732). By her second husband she had four more children (Nantucket): Reuben (1736), Thaddeus (1739), Shubael (1742) and Naomi (1746).

Desire Gorham was born 26 Sep 1710 and died Sherborn (Nantucket) 5 Nov 1801. She married Nantucket 2 Sep 1728 Zachariah Bunker and they had nine children (Nantucket): Jonathan (1729), Shubael (1731), James (1733), Simeon (1736), Elizabeth (1738), Desire (1741), Zachariah (1744), Francis (1746) and Andrew (1752-1779 unm.)

Ruth Gorham was born 7 May 1713 and died Middleborough 2 Sep 1792. She married Barnstable 12 Jan 1731/2 Cornelius Bennet and they had nine children: Cornelius (1732 d.y.), William (1734), Ebenezer Livy (1736/7), Christianna (1739), Batchelor (1742), Philip (1745 d.y.), Sarah "Sally" (c1747), Theodate (1751) and Silvanus (1754).

Deborah Gorham was born after 1714 and died Nantucket 21 Apr 1787. She married Nantucket 11 Dec 1735 Beriah Fitch and they had twelve children (Sherborn [Nantucket]): Eunice (1736), Lydia (1738), Jonathan Gorham (1740), Pernal (1742), Phebe (1744), Lucinda (1746), Beriah (1748 d.y.), Reuben (twin, 1750), Shubael (twin, 1750-1753), Puella, Deborah (1755) and Jedediah (1762).

Third Generation

To date, we know of no matrilineal (all female line) descendants of Puella HUSSEY Gorham, who has taken a mtDNA test (and publicly posted their results). Anyone who believes they are a matrilineal descendant (ie mother's mother's mother's etc.) is encouraged to contact MayflowerDNA1620@gmail.com.
