Biography

First Generation

William Green (birth and parentage unknown) died Plymouth 7 Oct 1685. He married abt 1683 Elizabeth Warren and they had one child (born Plymouth): William (1684).

Second Generation

William Green (II) was born Plymouth 24 Apr 1684 and died Barnstable 28 Jan 1756. He married twice, first 1709 Desire Bacon (an mtDNA descendant of Elizabeth TILLEY Howland) and second Barnstable 1 Sep 1731 Mary Fuller (a granddaughter of (Capt./Dr.) Matthew Fuller)(no children). By his first wife, William had seven children (first born Plymouth, rest Barnstable): Mary (1710), Warren (1712), Desire (1718), William (1721), Sarah (1723), John (1726) and James (1728).

Third Generation

Warren Green was born Barnstable 9 Jun 1712 and died Connecticut 9 Jan 1785. He married Eastham 14 Mar 1734 Mary Paine and they had seven children: Desire (1735), Elizabeth (bp 1742), Bathsheba (1743), Sarah (1745), Warren (1747 m Lucy Brainerd), Benjamin (1749) and Hannah (1751).

William Green was born Barnstable abt 17 Jul 1721 and died Middletown, CT 15 Aug 1775. He married twice, first, Middletown, CT 28 Jun 1750 Mercy Knowles then 25 Jan 1770 Elizabeth Young. He had two children by each wife: Marcy (1751-1752), Eunice (1753), William (1771) and Enoch (1772).

John Green was born Barnstable abt 2 Apr 1726. He married twice, first Elizabeth Tryon then Rachel Higgins

(Capt.) James Green was born Barnstable 17 Sep 1728 and died East Haddam, CT 11 Mar 1809. He married 13 Feb 1754 Ruth Marshall and they had ten children (East Haddam): Hannah (1755), Ruth (1756), James (1758-1784 unm.), William (1760-c1778 unm.), Benjamin (1762), Richard (1765), Ann (1768), Timothy (1771-1775), Oliver (1773), Timothy (1776) and Wilson (1780-1801 unm.)

The Green DNA Project currently does not list anyone claiming William Green (died 1685) as their Most Distant Known Paternal Ancestor (MDKPA).
