Biography

First Generation

Jeremiah Fones was born about 1664 and died Kingston (now So. Kingston), RI 29 Apr 1747. He married bef. 1711 Martha WEST Card[1] and they had five children: Mary (1711), Daniel (1713/4), Samuel (1714/5-b 1739 unm.), Thomas (1716/7- aft 1727 unm.) and Squcie (dau. 1718/9).

Second Generation

Daniel Fones was born Jamestown, RI 9 Mar 1713/4 and died North Kingstown bet. 8 Apr - 9 Aug 1790. He married Mary Remington and they had at least three children: Mary (c1735), Daniel (c1744 m. ____) and Martha (1746).

As of December 19, 2022 Family Tree DNA does not have a Fones surname DNA Project, but does have six kits associated with this surname.



Further needed testing

We need additional direct male-line descendants of Jeremiah Fones to WGS/NGS test to define the haplogroup.
