Biography

First Generation

Bethiah Thomas, daughter of (Capt.) Nathaniel Thomas & Mary ____ was born Pembroke 1 Mar 1649/50 and died there 23 Sep 1718. She married Marshfield abt 1673 (Lt.) Isaac Little and they had twelve children (born Marshfield): Thomas (1674), Dorothy (1676-1677), Isaac (1677/8), Bethiah (1681-b1688), infant daughter (1683-1683), Charles (1685), Abigail (c1687), Bethiah (1688-1689), Nathaniel (1690-b1715 unm.), William (1691/2), Bethiah (c1693 m Thomas Barker) and Lemuel (bp 1700).

Second Generation

Abigail Little was born Marshfield abt 1687 and died Marlborough 8 Feb 1769. She married Pembroke 14 Jun 1720 John Arbuthnot and they had two children: Christian (dau., bp 1724) and William (c1727).

Bethiah Little was born Marshfield abt 1693 and died Hingham 9 Oct 1751. She married Plymouth 22 May 1712 Thomas Barker and they had eight children: Thomas (1712/3), Bethiah (1715), Nathaniel (1716-1722), William (c1717-1729), Abigail (1718), Elizabeth (1720-1722), Elizabeth (1724-1804 unm.) and Nathaniel (1727).

Third Generation

Christian Arbuthnot was baptized Boston 24 Jun 1724 and died Bristol, ENG abt 7 Apr 1795. She married Boston 26 Sep 1745 Henry Barnes and they had only one child: Christian (1751-1751).

Bethiah Barker was born Pembroke 17 Feb 1715 and died there 21 Nov 1790. She married twice, first Pembroke 31 Jul 1738 James Johnston then 1772 (Gen.) John Winslow but it appears she never had any children by either marriage.

Abigail Barker was born Pembroke 11 Jan 1717/8 and died Hingham 11 Feb 1795. She married Boston 9 Feb 1745 Joshua Barker and they had three children: Deborah (1747), Sarah (1751) and Bethia (1753).

Conclusion

It appears there is no surviving matrilineal/mtDNA line from Bethiah THOMAS Little.
