Biography
First Generation
Frances Coombs was born Middleborough 6 Jan 1682, the daughter of Francis Coombs and Mary Barker.[1] Frances died before Jul 1759. She married about 1711 Nathan Howland and they had six children (Middleborough): Desire (1712-1716/7), Seth (1714/5), Caleb (1717), Priscilla (1719/20), George (1723) and Ruth (1727).
Second Generation
Ruth Howland was born Middleborough 4 Apr 1727 and died aft Jun 1767. She married Middleborough 26 Jan 1757 Thomas Darling and they had four children (Middleborough): Rebeckah (1757), Lurancy (1759), Seth (1762) and Zenas (1766).
Third Generation
Rebeckah Darling was born Middleborough 7 Oct 1757. She married Oakham 25 Jun 1781 Benson Dunbar.
Lurancy Darling was born Middleborough 30 May 1759 and died Stafford, CT 12 Jan 1844. She married New Braintree 9 Oct 1683 William Washburn and they had at least three children: Seth (c1787), Howland (1790) and Roswell (c1794).

Previous mtDNA testing
To date, no known direct female line descendants of Frances COOMBS Howland are known to have done mtDNA testing and published their results. Anyone who believes they descend in a direct female line (ie mother's mother's mother's etc mother) is encouraged to contact MayflowerDNA1620@gmail.com
