Biography

First Generation

Edward May was born bef 1649 date, place and parentage currently unknown. He died Monponsett (now Hanson) 10 Aug 1691. He married twice, first bef 13 Dec 1670 Hannah King (no Mayflower line) then aft 20 Jul 1683 Dorcas Billington. By his second wife he had one child: Israel (1684).

Second Generation

Israel May(e) was born abt 1684 and died Halifax aft 26 Jun 1743. He married Plympton 5 Feb 1707 Elisabeth Barber and they had (Plympton): Moses (1708), Edward (1711/2), Elizabeth (1714/5), Marcy (1717 n.f.r.) and Sarah (1720).

Third Generation

Moses Maye was born Plympton 2 Oct 1708.

Edward May was born Plympton 22 Mar 1712 and died Cornwall CT in 1790. He married Plympton 27 Sep 1739 Ann Parris and they had: Edward (1740), Mercy (1741/2), Bette (1743/4), Mary (1746), Hannah (1748) and William (1750).

The May surname DNA Project currently does not list anyone claiming Edward Ray as their Most Distant Known Patrilineal Ancestor (MDKPA).
