First Generation
William Hilton was married twice, first in England about 1616 to an unknown wife. He left his family in England when he emigrated on the Fortune but they came over in 1623 aboard the Anne. He married second by about 1636 Frances ----- who was much younger than he was. By his first wife he had four children: Elizabeth (bp and bur 1616), William (bp 1617), Mary (bp 1619, no further record but likely was living at the time of the 1623 land division in Plymouth) and John (c 1624 unm). By his second wife he had four more children: Magdalene (c 1636), Mainwaring (by 1646), Agnes (c 1647) and William (c 1653).

NGS/WGS testing
Two individuals (one descending from William Hilton, the other descending from his brother Edward) have Big Y-700 tested and been found to fall under I-FTA94891. NGS/WGS testing is needed to fully refine the haplogroup.
