Mary Otis was born Hingham 14 Mar 1652/3, daughter of John Otis and Mary Jacobs. She died Barnstable 1 Apr 1732. Mary married Barnstable 24 Feb 1674 John Gorham and they had nine children ([West] Barnstable): John (1675/6-1679), Temperance (1678), Mary (1680), Stephen (1683), Shubael (1686), John (1688), Thankful (1690/1), Job (1692) and Mercy (1695).

Second Generation

Temperance Gorham was born (West) Barnstable 2 Aug 1678 and died probably Scituate aft 1756. She married Barnstable 24 Dec 1696 "Mr." Stephen Clapp and they had five children (Scituate): John (1697), Rachel (1701), Thomas (1703), Stephen (1706 d.y) and Nathaniel (1709).

Mary Gorham was born (West) Barnstable 18 Sep 1680 and died there 23 Oct 1748 in her 68th year. She married Barnstable 21 Sep 1699 Joseph Hinckley and they had ten children (Barnstable): Mercy (1700), Joseph (1702), Mary (1703/4), Samuel (1705/6-1733), Thankful (1708), Abigail (1710), Elizabeth (1712/3-1733 unm.), Hannah (1715-1732 unm.), John (1717) and Isaac (1719).

Thankful Gorham was born (West) Barnstable 15 Feb 1690/1 and died there after 2 Feb 1732/3.[1] She married Barnstable 16 Jun 1710 John Fuller and they had seven children ([West] Barnstable): Hannah (1711), John (1712), Mary (twin, 1715), Bethiah (twin, 1715), Nathaniel (1716), Benjamin (bp 1717, d.y.) and Thankful (1718).

Mercy Gorhan was born (West) Barnstable 1 Dec 1695 and died there 9 Apr 1782, aged 86 years. She married Barnstable 20 Mar 1717/8 Sylvanus Bourne and they had ten children: Desire (1718/9), Mary (1720), Melatiah (1722), William (1723/4), Hannah (1725), Mercy (1727), Abigail (1729), Sylvanus (1731), Eunice (1732/3) and Richard (1739).

Rachel Clapp was born Scituate 29 May 1701 and died Norton 23 Apr 1783. She married Scituate 9 Nov 1721 George Leonard and they had four children (Norton): Rachel (bp 1727), George (1729), Anna and Thomas (1743-1743).


Mercy Hinckley was born Barnstable 17 Aug 1700 and died Falmouth 22 Jun 1778. She married Barnstable 16 Mar 1721 John Bourne and they had ten children (Falmouth): Joseph (twin, 1725), Sarah (twin, 1725), Mary (1727-1754 unm.), John (1729), Mercy (1731-1737), Elizabeth (1733), David (1735), Mercy (1738), Thomas (1740) and Isaac (1746 d.y.)

Mercy Bourne was born Barnstable 22 Aug 1727 and died Biddeford, ME 23 Oct 1802. She married Boston 10 Apr 1731 Samuel Jordan and they had nine children (Biddeford): Samuel (1752), Melatiah (1753), Mercy (1756), Olive (bp 1758), Tristram (bp 1759), Sylvanus (bp 1761), Richard (bp 1763), William Bourne (bp 1765) and Abigail (bp 1768).

Abigail Bourne was born Barnstable 21 Jun 1729 and died Marshfield 21 Dec 1761. She married Marshfield 14 Mar 1754 Kenelm Winslow and they had three children (Marshfield): Kenelm (1756), Abigail (1758) and Joseph (1760).

Eunice Bourne was born Barnstable 16 Feb 1732/3 and died Marblehead bef 30 Jul 1781.[2] She married Barnstable 19 Jun 1755 John Gallison and they had thirteen children (Marblehead): William (1756-1777), Eunice (1757-1759), Henry (1758-1759), Henry (1759), Anise (1761), Abigail (twin, 1763), Eunice (twin, 1763), Sarah (1764-1765), Elizabeth (1765), Sylvanus (1767), Michael (1768), Harriet (1771) and Charlotte (1773).
