There was an Isaac Allerton in New Haven who is said to have had the following children (by wife/wives unknown): John (c1685 m. Elizabethy _____), Jesse (c1687), '''poss.''' Thomas (likely d.sp.) and Isaac (c1696 died young). There is much uncertainty about this line but it is known there were some Allerton families in Connecticut, New York and Rhode Island who all believe they connect back to the Mayflower passenger Isaac Allerton.

==Possible Y-DNA descendants==
An Isaac Allerton with wife Elizabeth was living in the New Haven, Connecticut area in the latter part of the Seventeenth Century. They had sons John and Jesse. The identity of this Isaac is still unknown, but is likely either Isaac<sup>3</sup><ref>This Isaac, who would have been the eldest son, was not named in his father's 1702 will. It is generally assumed he was then deceased, and had no surviving children. However, this would leave open the question of who was the Isaac Allerton living in New Haven (where his parents lived before emigrating to Virginia).</ref> son of Isaac<sup>2</sup> or Isaac<sup>3</sup> son of Bartholomew<sup>2</sup>.
