Biography
First Generation
Walter Woodward/Woodworth was born in England bef 1612. The Woodworth Ancestors website believes it is likely Walter was the son of Henry Woodworth & Jonne Webe (married 18 May 1600) with Henry being bp Stowe, Staffordshire 28 Jun 1608. Walter died Scituate bet 26 Nov 1685 (will) and 25 Feb 1685/6 (inventory). He married abt 1640 but the name of his wife is unknown. They had ten children (Scituate): Thomas (c1641), Sarah (c1643), Joseph (c1645), Elizabeth (c1648), Mary (1650/1), Benjamin (c1656), Isaac (c1658), Martha (c1660), Mehitable (1662) and Abigail (1664 unm.)
Second Generation
Thomas Woodworth was born Scituate abt 1641 and died there 3 Mar 1718/9. He married Scituate 8 Feb 1666 Deborah Damon and they had (Scituate): Deborah (1667/8), Hezekiah (1670/1), Catherine (1673), Ebenezer (1676), Mary (1678), John (1683), Hannah (1685), Jerusha (1688) and Ebenezer (1690).
Joseph Woodworth was born Scituate abt 1645 and died there in 1718. He married Scituate 6 Jan 1669/70 Sarah Stockbridge and they had: Joseph (1670/1), Margaret (1673), Benjamin (1676), Sarah (1678), Elizabeth (1680), Eunice (1682/3), Abigail (1685) and Ruth (1687).
Benjamin Woodworth was born Scituate abt 1649 and died Lebanon CT 22 Apr 1728. He married twice, first 1678 Deborah ____ then Scituate abt 1688 Hannah ____. By his first wife he had three children: Elizabeth, Deborah and Mary (c1683). By his second wife he had: Benjamin (c1689), Ichabod (1690/1), Ebenezer (1690/1), Hannah (c1693), Ruth (c1695), Amos (c1687), Ezekiel (c1696), Judith (c1701), Margaret (c1703), Caleb (1704) and Priscilla (1706).
Isaac Woodworth was born Scituate abt 1658 and died Norwich CT 1 Apr 1714. He married Scituate 25 Jan 1682 Lydia Standlake and they had: Lydia (c1687), Isaac (c1689), Moses (c1691), Grace (c1695), David (1696/7), Daniel (1698), Stephen (1701), Joshua (1703) and Joanna (c1706).

Previous Y-DNA testing
The Woodworth surname DNA Project has several groups descending from the various sons of Walter Woodworth. Y-STR testing documents where they fall under the R1b-M369 clade, and the old R1b Deep Clade test reveals the family falls under U106.
NGS/WGS testing R1b-BY18125
Several members of this project have Big Y tested revealing the family falling under the following haplogroup: R1b-U106>Z2265>BY30097>FTT8>FGC3861>Z8053>S1855>FGC17471>FGC17465>FGC17460>FGC17464>FGC17463>FGC17467>FT45140>BY181825. It further documents where one descendant of Walter's son Benjamin is positive for a subclade: BY18125>FTH96482; one descendant of Walter's son Isaac has only tested positive for the parent clade BY18125; and two descendants of Walter's son Joseph are positive for a subclade: BY18125>FT360613.
