Biography

First Generation

Lettice Kempton was presumably born in or near London, England about 1620, daughter of Ephraim Kempton and Elizabeth Wilson (married London 12 Apr 1617). Lettice died Middleborough 22 Feb 1691. The family was not named in the 1627 Cattle Division, so emigrated to Plymouth Colony after this record. Lettice was married twice, both times to members of the Leiden Separatists congregation. Her first marriage (c1645) was to John Morton and second about 1674 to Andrew Ring. Lettice had five children (all by her first husband): John (1649-1649), John (1650), Deborah (c1652), Mary (c1654) and Hannah (c1660).

Second Generation

Deborah Morton was probably born Plymouth about 1652 and died Middleborough about 1678. She married about 1673 Francis Coombs and they had two children (Middleborough): Deborah (1673) and Mercy (1675)

Mary Morton was probably born Middleborough about 1654. She married about 1675 Nathaniel Bosworth (II) and they had nine children:

Hannah Morton was said to have been born Barnstable about 1660 and died about Oct 1678. She married twice, first 1678 John Fuller and second Barnstable 9 Dec 1695 John Lothrop/Lathrop (II). She had three children by her first husband and three more children by her second husband.
