Biography

First Generation

Joanna Sprague was baptized at Hingham 16 Dec 1644, daughter of William Sprague and Millicent Eames. She died Watertown 11 Jul 1678. She married Hingham 16 Dec 1667 Caleb Church and they had eight children: Hannah (1668), Ruth (1669/70), Lydia (1671), Caleb (1673), Joshua (1674), Abigail (1676-1676), Isaac (twin, 1678) and Rebecca (twin, 1678).

Second Generation

Hannah Church was born Hingham 26 Dec 1668 and died Freetown 6 Oct 1732. She married Freetown 27 Jun 1688 Matthew Boomer (II) and they had nine children: Matthew (1689), Lydia (1690-1761 unm.), Hannah (1692), Mercy (1694), Deborah (1696), Caleb (1698), Ruth (1700), Joshua (1702) and Mary (c1705).

Ruth Church was born Hingham 12 Jan 1669/70 and died Westfield 10 Jan 1746/7. She married three times, first Watertown 23 Jun 1689 John Maddocks, second Watertown 25 Jul 1705 Joseph Child and third May 1720 Thomas Ingersoll. By her first husband she had seven children: Ruth (1690/1), John (1692/3), Mary (1694), Sarah (1696), Henry (1698), Caleb (1700) and Joanna (1702). By her second husband she had three more children: Lydia (1706), Abigail (1708) and Ebenezer (1711/2 no further record).

Lydia Church was born Dedham 4 Jul 1671 and died Watertown 9 Feb 1690/1. She married Watertown 14 Jan 1686 and they had one child: Lydia (1690/1-1690/1).

Rebecca Church was born Watertown 27 Jun 1678 and died Waltham 1 Apr 1757. She married about 1695 Joshua Warren and they had twelve children: Lydia (1696), Joshua (1698), Nathaniel (1700), Rebecca (1701), Mary (1703), Elizabeth (1704), Abigail (1705), Susanna (1706/7), Hannah (1708), Prudence (1709), Daniel (1713) and Phineas (1718).

Third Generation

Hannah Boomer was born Pawtucket, RI 16 Nov 1692 and died Providence, RI 18 Dec 1718. She married abt 1709 John Jenks and they had three children: Benjamin (c1713), Joseph (c1714) and Lydia (c1715).

Hannah Boomer was born Freetown 16 Mar 1694 and died Swansea bef 2 Nov 1756. She married Swansea 4 Jun 1715/6 Nathaniel Luther and they had ten children: Job (1716/7), Nathaniel (1719), Matthew (1721), Isaac (1723/4), Marcy (1726), Hopestill (1729), Hephazibah (173-), John (1733), Jonathan (1733) and David (1737).

Deborah Boomer was born Freetown 1 May 1696 and died Swansea 28 Mar 1767. She married Freetown 15 Mar 1721/2 Elisha Mason and they had eight children: Elihu (1722), James (1724/5), Hannah (1727), Elisha (1729), Hepsibeth (1732), Joshua (1735/6), Barnabas (1737) and Deborah (1739).

Ruth Boomer was born Freetown 31 May 1700 and died Glocester, RI abt 4 Nov 1742. She married by 1722 Richard Salisbury and they had eight children: Ruth (1722 m Samuel Sprague), Richard (1724), Henry (1726/7), Joshua (1729), Peleg (1731), Stephen David (1736) and Susannah (1740).

Mary Boomer was born Freetown (Assonet) abt 1705 and died Swansea aft 3 Nov 1761. She married 1724 Ephraim Elsbree and they had ten children: Ephraim (1727), David (1728/9), John (1730), Thomas (1733), Mathew (1735), Rebecca (1737 m Joshua Boomer), Job (1739/40), Jonathan (1743-1744), William (1745) and Mary (1748/9).

Ruth Maddock was born Watertown 13 Feb 1690/1 and died aft 28 Apr 1734. She married Watertown 13 Sep 1710 Joseph Chadwick and they had nine children: Joseph (1714), Ruth (1716), Isaiah (c1719), Josiah (1723), Lydia (1725), John (1727), Eunice (1729), Henry (1731/2) and Nathan (1734).

Mary Maddock was born Watertown 4 Dec 1694 and died Newton 21 Jun 1741. She married Watertown 20 Mar 1715/6 Peter Oliver and they had six children: Elizabeth (c1716), Thomas (bp 1718), Peter (c1720), Mary (c1722), Samuel (c1726) and Sarah (c1728).

Sarah Maddock was born Watertown 22 Dec 1696 and died aft 20 Mar 1732. She married Watertown 5 Dec 1717 Thomas Ward and they had three children: Patience (c1719), Jabez (c1722) and Daniel (c1725).

Joanna Maddock was born Watertown 4 Oct 1702 and died Medford 20 Dec 1786. She married twice, first Medford abt 1720 Edward Oakes then Medford 24 Aug 1758 Richard Sprague (no ch.) By her first husband she had ten children (Medford): Joanna (1721 unm?), Edward (1722), John (1725), Nathan (1728), Samuel (1731), Lydia (1734 m Nathan Baldwin), Mary (1737-1747), Simon (1739), Ruth (1742 m Daniel Green) and Mercy (1744-1745).

Lydia Child was born Watertown 21 Jun 1706 and died Hardwick bef Sep 1760. She married twice, first Springfield 13 Mar 1721, then Westborough 19 Dec 1727 James Fay. By her first husband she had one child: William (1724). By her second husband she had eleven more children: Daniel (1728), Lydia (1730), James (1734), Mehitable (1737), Reuben (1739), Isaac (1742), Luce (dau, 1744), Ebenezer (1746), Elizabeth (1747), Hannah (1749) and Mary (1756).

Abigail Child was born Watertown 19 Sep 1708 and died Sheffield 27 Sep 1762. She married abt 1737 Gideon Pratt and they had four children: Nathaniel (bp 1738), Lydia (bp 1741), Abigail (bp 1744) and Gideon (bp 1749).

Lydia Warren was born Watertown 3 Nov 1696 and died bef 23 Oct 1752. She married Little Compton (now in RI) 27 Jan 1725/6 and they had three children: Rebecca (1726), Thomas (1728) and Stephen (1731).

Rebecca Warren was born Watertown 14 Aug 1701 and died Taunton 26 Mar 1773. She married Freetown Jan 1726/7 Isaac Hathaway and they had seven children: Joshua (1727/8), Isaac (1729), Irene (1731-1753 m Ephraim Shaw but no ch.), Phineas (1732/3), Daniel (1735), Prudence (1737 m Bennett Bailey) and Susanna (1741 m ____ Wilkinson).

Mary Warren was born Watertown 2 May 1703 and died Marlborough 1 Jun 1793. She married Leicester 3 Apr 1729 Benjamin Tucker (III) and they had eight children: Elizabeth (1730), Mary (1731/2), Benjamin (1734), Stephen (1736-1738), Joshua (1738), Abijah (1740), Caleb (1743) and Moses (1744).

Elizabeth Warren was born Watertown 19 Jun 1704 and died there abt 1764. She married Watertown 19 May 1726 Peter Gibbons and they had four children: Peter (1727-1729), Elizabeth (1728-1747 unm.), Thomas (1728) and Peter (1730).

Abigail Warren was born Watertown 20 Dec 1705 and died Brookfield abt 1757. She married Westborough 10 Jun 1729 Jedediah Howe and they had thirteen children: Elizabeth (1729-1729), Jedediah (1730-1730), Solomon (1730-1730), Martin (1731), Jedidah (1733/4), Caleb (1736), Abigail (1737 m Jonathan Gould), Elijah (1741), Silas (1742), Dorothy (1744), Jonah (1747), Patience (1749-1749) and Solomon (1750).

Susanna Warren was baptized Watertown 2 Feb 1706/7 and died Waltham abt 17 Dec 1745. She married Watertown 14 Jan 1729/30 Bezaleel Flagg and they had six children: Susanna (1730 m Abraham Bemis), Bezaleel (1732), Mary (1735), William (1737), Timothy (1740/1) and Thaddeus (bp 1743 d.y.)

Hannah Warren was born Watertown 2 Jun 1708 and died aft 29 Jan 1759. She married Watertown 21 Sep 1731 Noah Rice and they had five children: Lydia (c1732 m Timothy Bacon), Thomas (1734/5), Noah (1738-1739), Fornatus (1740-1740) and Assiel (son, 1741/2).

Prudence Warren was born Watertown 5 Dec 1709 and died Westborough 14 Nov 1764. She married Westborough 8 Mar 1731/2 Phineas Hardy and they had thirteen children: Prudence (1732 m Elijah Rice), Elijah (1734), Noah (1735/6), Constantine (son, 1736/7), Rufus (1739-1750), Hannah (1740 m Solomon Baker), Lydia (1743-1768 unm), Ruth (1744 m Thomas Hail), Tabitha (1745 m Levi Brigham), Joseph (1746), Lucy (1748), Daniel (1749) and Phineas (1753).
