First Generation

John Hewes was born presumably in England about 1608, place, date and parentage currently unknown. He died Scituate bet 6 Feb 1671 (will) and 22 Feb 1674 (probate). He married by 1633 Joan ____ and they had three children: Abigail (c1633), Mary (c1637) and John (c1653).

Second Generation

John Hewes (II) was born Scituate abt 1653 and died Lexington 15 Dec 1721. He married Watertown 9 Mar 1676/7 Ruth Sawtell and they had three children: John (1677/8), Samuel (1679-1680) and Elizabeth (1681).

Third Generation

John Hewes (III) was born Watertown 15 Feb 1677/8 and died Lexington 12 Jan 1720. He married Watertown 25 Mar 1709 Elizabeth Underwood and they had three children (Lexington): Jonathan (bp 1710), Elizabeth (bp 1711) and Edmund (bp 1712 d.y.)
