First Generation
Godbert Godbertson (aka Cuthbert Cuthbertson) was called "of Eastland" in his two marriage records at Leiden. According to Anderson, this likely means the region around Danzig, now in Poland. He died in Plymouth between 1 Jul - 24 Oct 1633. He married twice, first Leiden 27 May 1617 [NS][1] Elizabeth Kendall then Leiden soon after 13 Nov 1621 Sarah (Allerton) (Vincent) Priest, widow of Mayflower passenger Degory Priest and sister of Mayflower passenger Isaac Allerton. He is only known to have had one child (by his second wife): Samuel (c 1622)
Second Generation
Samuel Godbertson was born in Leiden about 1622. He is believed to have married and been the father of Samuel.
Third Generation
Samuel Godbertson died at Middleborough 17 Apr 1699, aged about 42 years. No other record appears for either father or son so it is believed the line is extinct.
