Paper trail

First Generation

Edward Foster was born presumably in England circa 1610, date, place and parentage currently unknown. He died Scituate bet. 24 Nov 1643 (will) and 22 Feb 1743/4 (inv.) He married Scituate 8 Sep 1635 Lettice Hanford[1] and they had three children: Timothy (1635/6-1637), Timothy (1638) and Elizabeth (1644).

Second Generation

Timothy Foster was bp Scituate 22 Apr 1638 and died Dorchester 16 Dec 1688. He married twice, first Dorchester 13 Oct 1663 Ruth TILESTON, widow of Richard Denton, then Dorchester 9 Mar 1681[/2?] Relief HOLLAND, widow of John Dowse. By his first wife he had five children: Ruth (1664), Elizabeth (1667), Naomi (1668/9), Hatherly (1671) and Rebecca (1675). By his second wife he had five more children: Timothy (1681, no ch. & likely unm.), Edward (1682/3), Thomas (1686), Elizabeth (1688) and Prudence (1694).
