DNA Results

Previous testing

The Briggs DNA Project lists one individual claiming they descend from Clement Briggs. There are other close STR matches grouped with this individual. While the Clement Briggs descendant only tested Y 37 STR, two individuals have tested Y 111 STRs. FTDNA predicts the family falls under I-M253. Plugging in the modal Y111 STR values into Nevgen haplogroup predictor gives a prediction of falling under subclades of: I-M253>DF29>Y2592>CTS6364>CTS10028>S6346>L22

NGS/WGS testing

NGS/WGS testing is needed to verify this prediction and refine the haplogroup.
