Biography
Sarah Allen, daughter of Samuel Allen and Anna ?Wetmore was born Braintree 30 Mar 1639 and died Preston, CT 16 Sep 1690. She married Duxbury aft 7 Mar 1656 Josiah Standish and they had seven children: Lois (c1658), Josiah (c1660), Mary, (prob. NOT) Mehitable, Israel (son p1675), Samuel (c1680) and Mercy (c1685).
Second Generation (all prob. born Duxbury)
Lois Standish was born abt 1658 and died aft 16 Apr 1731. She married twice, first Norwich, CT 29 Nov 1705 Hugh Calkins and second, Lebanon, CT 21 Mar 1726 John Sprague. She had no children by either marriage.
Mary Standish is said to have been born 24 Mar 1660 and died Bridgewater aft 16 Apr 1731. She married abt 1681 James Cary and they had six children: infant son (1682/3-1682/3), Mercy (1686), Mary (1689), James (1689), Hannah (1696-1697) and Elizabeth (1700).
Some have claimed that Mehitable, wife of Stephen Bryant, was a daughter of Josiah Standish and Sarah Alden. However, there is no proof Josiah and Sarah ever had a daughter named Mehitable and other competing theories state Mehitable's maiden name may have been Packard.
Mercy Standish was born abt 1685 and died Salisbury, CT 4 Nov 1748. She married Windham, CT 30 Nov 1726 Ralph Wheelock and they had one child (Windham): Mary/Mercy (1728).
Third Generation
Mercy Cary was born Bridgewater 28 Jan 1685/6 and died there bef 18 Nov 1725. She married Bridgewater 28 Apr 1713 David Thurston and they had five children (Rehoboth): John (1714), Abigail (1716 m Jesse Byram), James (1718), David (1721) and Mary (1723 unm.).
Elizabeth Cary was born Bridgewater 1700 and died there in 1742. She married[1] John Whitman 1729 and they had four children (Bridgewater): Samuel (1730), Elizabeth (1732), John (1735) and James (1739).
Mary/Mercy Wheelock was born Windham, CT 26 Nov 1728 and died aft 17 Jun 1767. She married Windham 29 Dec 1746 Jabez Bingham (II) and they had nine children: Jabez (1748/9), Ralph (1750) Mary (1752 m ___ Lee), Silas (1753), Alvan (1754), Mabel (c1758 m Reuben Monroe [II]), Achsah (1760 m Ambrose Everts), Louisa (1763 m John Landon) and Mercy (1767 m Jesse Chandler).

To date, no known matrilineal (all female line) descendant has publicly revealed where they have mtDNA tested.
