Biography

First Generation

(Capt.) Hancock Lee, son of (Col.) Richard Lee and Anne Constable was born Dividing Creek, VA Mar 1652/3 and died Wicomico, VA 25 May 1709. He married twice, first abt 1675 Mary Kendall (not descended from a Mayflower passenger) and second Westmoreland Co., VT abt 1700 Sarah Allerton. By his second wife he had five children: Isaac (1702-b1727 unm.), Ann (c1704), John (c1707), Elizabeth (1709) and Hancock (1709).

Second Generation

John Lee was born Ditchley, VA abt 1707 and died Orange Co. Virginia, 11 Aug 1789. It is currently unknown if he married and had children.

Hancock Lee was born Ditchley, VA 25 May 1789 and died VA Oct 1762. He married Fredericksburg, VA 23 Jan 1733/4 Mary Willis and they had ten children: Ann (1733/4), Mary (1735), George Henry (1737), Hancock (1740), John Arthur (1743), Willis (1745), Sarah Alexander (1749), Henry (1750), Richard (1753) and Mary (c1757).
