Previous Y-DNA testing

The Latham surname DNA Project Subgrouping: "R-M198" has one individual, who states his Most Distant Known Paternal Ancestor (MDKPA) was Robert Latham of Bridgewater. He has not done any Y-SNP testing, but only a Y-37 STR test. FTDNA has predicted he falls under R-M512 and the Nevgen Haplogroup Prediction tool is only able to assign this individual to Haplogroup R1a.

NGS/WGS testing

This individual recently upgraded his DNA to the Big Y-700. As a result, his haplogroup was refined to: R-M417>CTS4385>Y2894>L664>FGC41399>S2894>S2880>FT20688>YP432>YP5515>YP6483>YP6486>YP6479>YP6480

Further needed testing

We need additional direct male-line descendants of Robert Latham to WGS/NGS test to both to refine the haplogroup further and delineate descendant clades.
