Biography

First Generation

(Maj.) Nathaniel Jenckes was born Providence, RI 29 Jan 1662/3, son of Joseph Jenckes (II) & Esther Ballard. Nathaniel died there 11 Aug 1723. He married Swansea 4 Nov 1686 Hannah Bosworth and they had four children (likely born Providence): Jonathan (1688), Hannah (1690), Elizabeth (1697/8) and Nathaniel (1702/3).

Second Generation

Jonathan Jenckes was born 1 May 1688 and died aft 1726/7. He married Mary Slack and they had twelve children (born Attleboro): Mary, John (1710 unk if marr), Elizabeth (1712), Nathaniel (1714 m ___ Weeks), Amos (1716), Jeremiah (1718), Jonathan (1720 m Hannah Rasor), Jerusha (1722), Rebecca (1724), Hannah (1726), Asa (1728 unk if marr) and Olive (1733).

Nathaniel Jenckes was born 4 Jan 1702 and died abt Dec 1741. He married twice, first Providence 28 Feb 1722/3 Lydia Arnold and second there 29 Mar 1730 Bridget Blake. By his first wife Nathaniel had three children (born Providence): Martha (1724), Stephen (1726 m Sarah Hawkins) and Lydia (1727). By his second wife, he had four more children (born Providence): Joanna (1730), Ichabod (1731/2 m Margaret Bagley), James (twin, 1733 m Beriah Crabtree) and Jemima (twin, 1733).
