He was married twice, first St. Nicholas, Harwich 27 Dec 1593 Sara Twitt then St. Nicholas, Harwich 1603 Josian (Thompson) Gray. By his first wife he had one child, Thomas (bur. 1596). By his second wife he had eight children (first three born Harwich, next four at Rotherhithe and youngest back at Harwich): Christopher (1604, died young), Thomas (1607), Josian (1609), Roger (1611), Christopher (1613), Joane (1615), Grace (1619) and John (1621).

Christopher Jones was baptized St Mary, Rotherhithe, Southwark, Surrey, 13 Mar 1613/4.

John Jones was baptized St. Nicholas, Harwich 4 Mar 1620/1. He may have been the John Jones born about 1621 who emigrated to Westmoreland County Virginia. However, there have been no records discovered to date to link the immigrant with the Captain of the Mayflower. In any case the immigrant John Jones died at Westmoreland County about 3 Aug 1657 and is may have been the father of John Jones (born ca 1640).
