First Generation

Sarah Carey was born Monk Sohan, Suffolkshire, England about 1590 and died Plymouth 18 Feb 1655/6. She married Leiden "first" of Nov 1614 John Jenney and thy had eight children: Samuel (1616), son (c1618 likely d.y.), Ann (1618-1618), Abigail (1619), Sarah (c1623), poss. son[1] (by 1623-bef 1627), John (b 1627) and Susanna (c1627).

Second Generation

Abigail Jenney was born (baptized?) Leiden 16 Apr 1619 and died Middleborough 1690. She married Plymouth 18 Apr 1644 Henry Wood (alias Atwood)[2] and they had thirteen children (Plymouth): Sarah (1645), John (1646), Samuel (1647), Jonathan (1648/9), David (1651), Joseph (1653), Isaac (1654-1655), Abigail (1655), Benjamin (1655), Mary (1657-1714 unm.), Abiel (son, 1658), James (1660) and Susanna (c1662).

Sarah Jenney was poss. born on their parent's trip to New Plimouth aboard the Little James in 1623. She died Dartmouth 12 Mar 1710. She married Plymouth 19 May 1646 Thomas Pope and they had seven children (Plymouth): Seth (1647/8), Susanna (1649), Thomas (1651), John (1653), Sarah (c1656), Joanna (1656) and Isaac (1663).

Susannah Jenney was born New Plimouth shortly before the "Cattle Division" in May 1627 and died Plymouth 4 Apr 1654. She married Plymouth abt 1652 Benjamin Bartlett but they had no children before her early death.

Third Generation

Sarah Wood[3] was born Yarmouth abt 1645 and died Plymouth 4 Mar 1675/6. She married Plymouth 28 Nov 1667 John Nelson and they had four children (all died young except first): Mehitable (1670), John (1672-1676), Martha (c1674-1675) and poss. Thomas (1675).

Abigail Wood[4] was born Middleborough abt 1655 and died there bef. Jun 1718.[5] She married Middleborough about 1675 David Thomas (II) and they had ten children: William (c1676), Jonathan (1678), David (c1681), Samuel, Hannah (1684/5) Joseph (c1688), Josiah (c1690), Elizabeth (1695/6 unk. if marr.), Samuel (1698) and Henry (c1700).

Susanna Wood[6] was born Plyouth about 1666 and died there aft 19 Sep 1712. She married Plymouth 8 Mar 1686 Josiah Morton and they had four children: Suzannah (1686/7-1686/7), Josiah (1688), Suzannah (1690) and Henry (1692-1697).


Susanna Pope was born abt 1649 and died Dartmouth Jul 1675.[7] She married Plymouth 7 Nov 1666 Jacob Mitchell and they had three children: Jacob (c1670), Thomas (c1672) and Mary (1674/5)

Sarah Pope was born Plymouth abt 1656 and died Harwich bef 5 Jul 1727. She married twice, 1) Barnstable 13 Nov 1676 Samuel Hinckley and 2) 17 Nov 1698 Thomas Huckins. By her first husband she had ten children: Mary (1678), Mehitable (1679-1718 unm.), Thomas (1681), Seth (1683), Samuel (1684), Job (1688), Shubael (1690), Mercy (1693), Josiah (1694) and Elnathan (1697). By her second husband she had Hannah (1699).

Joanna Pope was born Plymouth 14 Aug 1656 and died Dartmouth 25 Dec 1695. She married Dartmouth 15 Mar 1683 John Hathaway and they had six children: Sarah (1683), Joanna (1685), John (1687), Arthur (1690), Hannah (1692) and Mary (1694).

Fourth Generation

Mehitable Nelson was born Plymouth 5 Apr 1670 and died there bef 25 Apr 1745. She married Plymouth 2 Feb 1693 John Doty and they had seven children (Plymouth): Mehitable (1694), Edward (1697), John (1700), Jacob (1703), Sarah (1707 likely unm.), Susannah (1710) and Lydia (1713).

Hannah Thomas was born Middleborough aft 22 Feb 1684 and died Halifax 20 Sep 1760. She married Middleborough 26 Mar 1719 John Fuller (II) (great-grandson of (Dr.) Samuel Fuller) and they had four children: Hannah (1719), Abigail (1721-1723), John (1723) and Bathsheba (p1725).

Susannah Morton[1] was born Plymouth 1 Sep 1690 and died there aft 1758. She married Plymouth 10 Apr 1712 Ephraim Morton and they had seven children: Susannah (1713), Hannah (1715), Sarah (1718 m Nathaniel Warren), Ephraim (1722), Abigail (1724), infant (1726) and Ichabod (1730).


Mary Mitchell was born abt 1 Jan 1674 and died bef 1740. She married Bridgewater 1 Jan 1695/6 Samuel Kingman and they had six children: Susanna (1697), John (1699), Joanna (1701), Jane (1704), Mary (1706) and Samuel (1710).

Mary Hinckley was born Barnstable 22 Jul 1678 abd died Harwich 7 Jan 1741. She married Harwich 13 Jan 1703/4 (Capt.) Samuel Bangs and they had eight children: Seth (1705), Samuel (1707), David (1709), Mary (1711 m John King [II]), Joseph (1712/3), Melatiah (1714/5), Sarah (1716 m Jonathan Snow) and Lemuel (1719-1739).

Mercy Hinckley was born Barnstable 11 Jan 1692/3 and died Harwich 2 Sep 1735. She married 24 Apr 1711 William Crosby and they had seven children: Thankful (1714 m Scotto Clark), Tuley (son, 1715), Mehitable (1717 unk. if marr), William (1719), Nathan (1722), Seth (1724) and Huldah (1726).

Hannah Huckins was born Barnstable 22 Aug 1699 and died 18 Jun 1771. She married Harwich 24 Mar 1719 Joseph Paine and they had eight children: James (1720), Sarah (1723), Samuel 1726), Jonathan (1729), Joseph (1731), Hannah (1735), Jonathan (1739) and Lydia (1744).


Sarah Hathaway was born Dartmouth 24 Feb 1683/4 and died there bef 27 Sep 1744. She married Dartmouth 11 Oct 1709 John Cannon and they had at least: Cornelius (1711).

Joanna Hathaway was born Dartmouth 28 Jan 1685 and died there 16 Mar 1749/50. She married Nathaniel Blackwell and they had six children: Sarah (1712), Mary (1715), Hannah (1718), Joanna (1722), Nathaniel (1724) and John (1727).

Hannah Hathaway was born Assonet (now Freetown) 16 Feb 1692. She married Freetown 28 Sep 1720 Matthew Boomer (III) and they had seven children: Mary (1721), Deborah (1723), Hannah (1725), Eleanor (1727/8), John (1729), Lydia (1732) and Martha (1734).

Mary Hathaway was born Dartmouth 4 Jun 1694 and died bef 15 Oct 1754. She married Dartmouth abt 1714 George Douglas and they had eight children: Ann, Hannah, Johanna, Mary, Thomas, William, John and George.

Fifth Generation

Mehitable Doty was born Plymouth 4 Nov 1694 and died there 18 Feb 1769. She married Plymouth 4 May 1722 William Lucas and they had seven children (Plymouth): William (1723-1734), Phebe (1725-b1748), Priscilla (1727), Joseph (1729), Benjamin (1729), Isaac (1731), William (1734) and Mehitable (1737).

Susannah Doty was born Plymouth 20 Apr 1710 and died there aft 16 Nov 1750. She married Plymouth 29 Apr 1739 John Finney and they had six children: Josiah (1740), Robert (1741), Ezra (1745), Sylvanus (1745), Ephraim (1748) and William (1750).

Lydia Doty was born Plymouth 2 Feb 1713 and died Carver 14 Nov 1768. She married John Lucas and they had three children (Plymouth): Joseph (1742), John (1744) and Hannah (1750).



  1. Anderson, The Great Migration Begins stated John and Sarah had a son born on the journey to New Plimouth in 1623. Other sources state it was daughter Sarah who was born on the journey.
