Biography
First Generation
John Fullerton was born 30 Sep 1696, son of Alexander Fullerton & Mary _____. He died Marshfield Jun 1780. John married twice, first Marshfield 13 Oct 1720 Ruth Samson and second Marshfield 17 Apr 1746 Rebecca Delano. By his first wife he had at least eight children (born Marshfield): Mercy (1721), Mary (1723 likely d.y.), William (1725 likely d.y.), Ann (1728 likely d.y.), John (1730), Alithea (1735), Ruth (1738) and Deborah. By his second wife he had at least: Anna, Penelope, Lucy, Hannah, Araunah, Abigail and Mary.[1]
Second Generation
(Lt.) John Fullerton (II) (by first wife) was born Marshfield 24 Feb 1730/1 and died Abington 15 Feb 1817. He married Abington 12 Jun 1755 Molly Noyes and they had at least six children (first three known to be born at Abington): John (1756), Sarah (1761), Asa (1764), Ruth (c1766), William (c1773) and Anna (c1774).
Araunah Fullerton (by second wife) was born Marshfield 1761 and died Woodstock, VT 10 Jan 1800. He married Pembroke 22 Apr 1784 Lillas Stetson and they had: John (1785), Araunah (1787, no futher record), Beulah (1790), Amasa (1792, no further record), Charles (1795), Rufus (c1797) and Isaiah (1799).
Third Generation
John Fullerton (III) was born Abington 19 Mar 1756. No further record known.
Asa Fullerton was born Abington 29 Jan 1764 and died there 6 Jun 1847. He married Abington 29 Jan 1782 Mary Hunt and they had at least Jacob (1782 m Hannah Reed) and Noah (1785 m Silence Dailey).
William Fullerton was born Abington about 1772 and died Brockton 30 Jun 1837. He married Mary Porter and they had at least Marcus (1818 m Sallie Ann Reynolds).
John Fullerton was born Pembroke 24 May 1785 and died Woodstock, VT 11 Oct 1854. He married Woodstock 13 Mar 1806 Mary "Polly" Darling and they had Elvira (1808), Betsey (1810), Amasa (1816 m Huldah Shaw), Rebecca (1819) and Isaiah Thomas (1824 m Susan Augusta Adams).
Charles Fullerton was born Woodstock VT 29 Jan 1795 and died Owensville, IN 17 Feb 1870. He married Gibson, IN 12 Feb 1824 Mary Ann Brownlee and they had Lillis (1824-1824), George William (1826 m Matilda Emmaline Marvel), Katherine (1829-1831) and Mary Ann (1831).
Rufus Fullerton was born Woodstock VT abt 1797 and died Hickory Grove, MO abt 1842. He married Lucy Jeanette Pringle and they had at least Charles Pringle (1830 m Cornelia Libby).
Isaiah Fullerton was born Woodstock VT 13 Sep 1799 and died Alden, NY 13 May 1883. He married Woodstock 8 Feb 1824 Eliza Kendall and they had: Henry E. (1833 m Emma ____), Herschel Kendall (1835), Richard K. (1836) and Jane "Jennie" (1837).

Previous testing
The Fullarton/Fullerton DNA Project currently does not list anyone claiming Alexander Fullerton as their Most Distant Known Patrilineal Ancestor (MDKPA).
NGS/WGS testing
NGS/WGS testing of descendants of John Fullerton would identify the haplogroup for the family and possibly define subclades for descendants.
