Biography

First Generation

(Lt.) Thomas Terry was born abt 1631 and died Freetown in Oct 1691. He married abt 1680 (H)Anna Rogers and they had three children: Thomas (c1679), John (b1684) and Benjamin (p1683).

Second Generation

Thomas Terry (II) was born about 1679 and died bef 15 Jun 1747 at Freetown. He married Taunton 4 Jan 1699/1700 Abigail Dean and they had three children: Thomas (never married, Lydia (b1701) and Abiel (son, 1714).

John Terry was born bef 1684 and died Freetown bef 9 Nov 1711. He married Taunton 3 Apr 1705 Remember Farrow and they had two children: Silas (1707) and John (1708).

Benjamin Terry was born aft 1683 and died Freetown bet 28 Jun 1768 and 29 Mar 1773. He married twice first, aft 31 Jul 1710 Joanna Spurr and second bef 30 Nov 1723 Margaret Halloway. By his first wife, Benjamin had four children: Mary (c1715), Robert (c1717), Benjamin (c1719) and John (c1721). By his second wife, Benjamin had: George (1723), Joanna (1725), Lydia (1726), Phebe (1729), William (1731), Margaret (1732), Solomon (1734), Miriam (1737), Sarah (1739) and Dinah (1741).

Third Generation

Abiel Terry was born Freetown 3 Dec 1714 and died there 4 Mar 1793. He married Taunton 23 Sep 1738 Hannah Tisdale and they had Abiel (1740), Zebedee (1741), Joseph (1743), Hannah (1746-1747) and Thomas (1747-1747).

Silas Terry was born Freetown 8 Apr 1707 and died there 2 Jun 1811. He married Sarah Davis and had at least Remembrance (1728).

John Terry was born Freetown 26 May 1708 and died bef 2 Sep 1776. He married Freetown 10 Feb 1732 Lydia Williams and they had Rachel (1732), Hannah (1735), Lydia (1736), John (1738), Zephaniah (1740), Wealthy (1743), Ebenezer (1747), Silas (1750) and Job (1753).

Robert Terry was born Freetown abt 1715 and died there in 1802. He married Freetown 27 Apr 1738 Rebecca Lawton. Unknown whether any children.

Benjamin Terry (II) was born Freetown abt 1719 and died abt 1794. He married Joanna Pope and they had Deborah (1743), Benjamin (1750), Joanna (1753), Patience (1755) and Elnathan (1758).

John Terry was born Freetown abt 1721 and died Hardwick bef 26 Jul 1790. He married Dartmouth 16 Oct 1745 Joanna Pope and they had Rebecca (1749), Jacob (c1752), Isaac (1755), John (c1757), Lydia (c1760) and Phebe (c1764).
