First Generation
(Capt.) Joseph Willdin (Weldon, etc.) was born Yarmouth about 1660, son of John Whilldin and Mary Folland. He died in Cape May, NJ about 1727. Joseph married probably in Barnstable or Yarmouth about 1682 Hannah Gorham and they had five children: Hannah (c 1683), Joseph (c 1690), Mary (c1693), Experience (c 1696) and Isaac (c1698 unk. if marr.).
Second Generation
Joseph Whilldin was born Yarmouth about 1690 and died Cape May, NJ 18 Mar 1748. He married twice, first abt 1711 Mary Wilmon and second, aft. 8 Apr 1743 Abigail ___ (no ch.) By his first wife, Joseph had seven children (Cape May): Matthew (c 1712-c1751 unm.), James (c1714), Hannah (c1719), Mary (c1723), David (c1725-1762 unm.), Rachel (c1727) and Lois (c1730).
