First Generation
Thomas Tayer[1] was baptized Thornbury, Gloucestershire, England 16 Aug 1596, son of Richard Tayer and Ursula Dimery. He married there 13 Apr 1618 Margery Wheeler. They had nine children: Ursula (d. young), Wilfrey (d. young), Thomas, Fernando, Ursula, infant, Shadrach, Mary & infant. The family emigrated to New England in 1637 aboard the Speedwell.
Second Generation
Thomas Thayer (II) (no known Mayflower descendant lines)
Fernando Thayer was baptized at Thornbury 18 Apr 1625 and died at Mendon 28 Mar 1713. He married twice: Huldah Hayward & Anna _____. By his first wife he had twelve children: Sarah, Huldah, Jonathan, Naomi, Isaac, Thomas, Samuel, Josiah, Ebenezer, Benjamin, David & (son) Israel.
Shadrach Thayer was baptized at Thornbury 10 May 1629 and died at Braintree 19 Oct 1678. He married twice, first to Mary Barrett, then Deliverance Priest. By first wife, he had Rachel (d. young) & Tryall. By his second wife he had eight children: Freelove (d. young), Samuel, Timothy (d. young), Samuel, Ephraim (1670), Hannah (d. young), William & Hannah.
Third Generation
(Dr.) Jonathan Thayer was born Mendon 28 Feb 1702 and died Bellingham 12 Apr 1747. He married Duxbury 21 Feb 1723 Elizabeth, daughter of Stephen Samson and they had nine children: Cornelius (1723), Sarah (1725), Mercy (1726), Hopestill (dau. 1731), Ezra (1733), Elizabeth (1735), Nehemiah (1738-1740), Micah (1741) and Jonathan (c1744-1746).
Ephraim Thayer was born Braintree 17 Jan 1669/70 and died there 15 Jun 1757. He married twice, first Braintree 7 Jan 1691/2 Sarah Bass and second Weymouth 20 Dec 1753 Mary Bates (no children). By his first wife Ephraim had fourteen children: Sarah (1691/2), Ephraim (1694), Philip (1696), Hannah (1697/8), Joseph (1699), Shadrack (1701), Christopher (1702/3), Ruth (1704), Esther (1705), Napthali (1706/7), Peter (1708), Priscilla (1709/10), James (1711/2) and Abigail (1713).
Fourth Generation
Cornelius Thayer was born Mendon 14 Dec 1723 and died Western (now Warren) 23 Oct 1790. He married Bellingham 24 Dec 1747 Abigail Jones and they had seven children: Jonas (1750), Jonathan (1753 m Martha Smith), Abigail (1755), Cornelius (1757 m Asenath Bradley), Amos (1760), Hannah (1763) and Elizabeth (1765).
(Rev.) Ezra Thayer was born Bellingham 28 Apr 1733 and died Ware 12 Feb 1775. He married Stockbridge 17 Sep 1761 Judith Williams and they had four children: Abigail (1763), Elizabeth (1765), Sarah (1766) and Enoch Williams (1768).
Micah Thayer was born Bellingham 29 Jun 1741 and died Ware 4 Jan 1777. He married Mendon 17 Nov 1763 Lois Thayer and they had at least three children: Jedediah (1764 m Rachel Adams), Rhoda (1767) and Violatra (1773).
