Biography
First Generation
George Bruce was born Woburn 20 Sep 1703, son of Joseph Bruce & Hannah ____. He died Grafton 20 Jul 1794. George married Mendon 11 Jul 1727 Abigail Samson and they had four children (born Mendon): Joseph (c1730), George (1732), Abigail (c1737) and Elizabeth (c1740).
Second Generation
Joseph Bruce was born Mendon about 1730 and died Grafton 15 May 1799 "in 70th yr." He married Groton 23 Jan 1755 Elizabeth Farnsworth and they had one child (born Mendon): Simon (1756).
George Bruce (II) was born Mendon 22 Feb 1732 and died Leicester 3 May 1788 "ae 56." He married Mendon 30 Mar 1758 Hannah Lovett and they had ten children (first 8 born Mendon, last 2 Rutland): Artemas (1759 n.f.r.), Phinehas (1762), Mary (1764-1766), Hannah (1766), George (1768 unm.), Martha "Patty" (1771), Abigail (1773), Stephen (1775 unm.), William (1778) and Charles (1781).
