Biography
First Generation
Jonathan Bosworth (II) was born at either Cambridge or Hingham about 1636, son of Jonathan Bosworth (s/o Edward) & Elizabeth ____. He died Swansea bef 10 Jun 1717. Jonathan married Swansea 6 Jul 1661 Hannah Howland and they had ten children (born Swansea): Mercy (1662 dy), Hannah (1663), Elizabeth (1665-1676), Jonathan (1666-1676), David (1669), John (1671), Jabez (1673), Ichabod (1676), infant son (1678) and Jonathan (1680).
Second Generation
(Deacon) David Bosworth was born Swansea 15 Sep 1669 and died Halifax 12 Jun 1747. He married twice, first Plymouth 18 Aug 1698 Mary/Mercy Sturtevant and second Patience _____. All children by first wife (born Plymouth): David (1699), Jonathan (1700/1), Nehemiah (1702/3) and Hannah (1705).
John Bosworth was born Swansea 6 Apr 1671 and died Barrington (now in RI) 20 Sep 1719. He married Swansea 10 (or 16) Jun 1702 Elizabeth Toogood and they had nine children (born Swansea): Elizabeth (1703), Mary (1705), Hannah (1706), Nathaniel (1709), John (1711), Lydia (1713), Rachel (1716 dy), David (1717/8) and Oliver (posth. 1720).
Jabez Bosworth was born Swansea 16 Feb 1673 and died Rehoboth in 1747. He married about 1700 Susanna ____ and they had six children (born Rehoboth): Zachariah (1701), Jabish (1703), Hannah (1707), Mary (1710), Joseph (1714) and Patience (1717)
Ichabod Bosworth was born Swansea 18 Mar 1676 and died poss. at Bellingham aft 1719. He married twice, first int. Rehoboth 3 Jan 1700/1 Sarah Stacy and second Mary ____. By his first wife he had six children (born Rehoboth): Hannah (1701-1702/3), Jonathan (1702-1702/3), Sarah (1704-1705), Mary (1706 nfr), Ichabod (1708) and Henry (c1710). By his second wife he had four more children: Sarah (1712), Jonathan (1714), Benjamin (1716) and Joseph (c1719).
Jonathan Bosworth (III) was born Swansea 22 Sep 1680 and died bef 17 Feb 1759. He married Swansea 26 Nov 1703 Sarah Round and they had five children: Amos (1704), Ichabod (1706), Christian (1708), Jonathan (1710/1) and Elisha (1713).
Third Generation
David Bosworth (II) was born Plymouth 21 May 1699. He married Plympton 22 Dec 1720 Priscilla Shaw and they had nine children: Elizabeth (1722), Amaziah (1726 m Tabitha Hartshorn), Isaac (1729, no further record), Priscilla (1731), Lydia (1733), Zadock (1735 m Joanna Raymond), David (1737/8 no further record), Hannah (1739) and Rebecca (1743).
Jonathan Bosworth was born Plymouth 16 Feb 1700/1 and died Halifax 24 Jan 1741/2. He married twice, first Plympton 19 Dec 1723 Alice Cushman (she died in childbirth and the child also died), and second Plympton 30 Sep 1725 Ruth Tilson by whom he had six children: Alice (1727), Jonathan (1730 m Abigail Lathrop), Jabez (c1732-1747 unm.), Zadock (1734 m Martha Waterman & Elizabeth Smith), Noah (1737 m Lydia Ripley) and Ichabod (1739 m Rebekah Sturtevant & Lydia Standish).
Neheiah Bosworth was born Plymouth 15 Mar 1702 and died Halifax 22 Dec 1762. He married twice, first Plympton 27 Jan 1725/6 and second Plympton 26 Mar 1729. By his first wife he had two children: Deborah (1726) and Susanna (1728). By his second wife he had six more children: John (1729 m Sarah Jackson), Nehemiah (1731 m Sarah Goodspeed), Peter (1732/3-1740), David (1735 m Patience Bosworth but likely no ch.), Sarah (1737) and Susanna (1739).
