First Generation
John Allyn was baptized Barnstable 27 Sep 1646, son of Thomas Allyn and Winifred ____. Thomas died prob. Killingly, CT after 13 Aug 1715. He married Barnstable in 1674 Mary Howland and they had nine children: John (1674 unm.), Mary (1675-1677), Matthew (1677-1680), Isaac (1679), Mercy (1681.2-1683), Hannah (1683), Thomas (1684/5), Matthew (1687) and Jabez (1689).
Second Generation
Isaac Allyn was born Barnstable 8 Nov 1679 and died Pomfret, CT 14 Jul 1761. He arried Pomfret 9 May 1733 Lydia Leonard and they had ten children (Pomfret): John (1734), Mary (1736), Jabez (1738), Isaac (1740 d.y.), Isaac (1741/2), Jonathan (1743), Lydia (1745), Hannah (1747), Thankful (1750) and Joseph (1754).
Thomas Allyn was born Middleborough 6 Feb 1684/5 and died aft 15 Oct 1716. It is currently unknown whether he ever married.
Matthew Allyn was born Middleborough 8 Oct 1687 and died Pomfret, CT 10 Sep 1754. He married abt 1710 Sarah ___ and they had one child (Killingly): Sarah (1711).
Jabez Allyn was born Middleborough 2 Feb 1689 and died Killingly, CT before 10 Nov 1727 (widow appointed administratrix to his estate). He married Killingly 20 Jul 1720 Mehitable Moffitt and they had three children (Killingly): Elizabeth (c121), Mary (1722) and Mehitable (c1724).
Third Generation
James Allyn was born Pomfret, CT 12 Dec 1734 and died there 1 Aug 1776. He married Pomfret 8 May 1758 Dinah Thayer and they had at keast four children (Pomfret): John (1762-1764), Mary (1763), John (1767) and Sarah.
Jabez Allyn was born Pomfret 13 Aor 1738 and died 9 Dec 1803. He married Brooklyn, CT 3 Jun 1738 Mary Darby and they had eleven children (Brooklyn): Daniel (1758-1776), Anna (1760), Sybel (1763-1773), Albigence (1765), Mary (1767), Azubah (1771), Lucy (1773), Esther (1776-1776)m Catherine (1777), Betsey (1781) and Tamison (Jemima?) (c1785).
Isaac Allyn was born Pomfret 11 Feb 1741/2 and died aft 3 Jul 1798. He married Killingly, CT 30 Jan 1764 Amy Deane but no children found for this couple.
Jonathan Allyn was born Pomfret 19 Sep 1743 and died after 3 Jul 1798. It is currently unknown whether he ever married.
Joseph Allyn was born Pomfret 10 Mar 1754 and died after 4 Jul 1803. He married Brooklyn, CT 4 Apr 1776 Mary Spalding. It is believed they were the parents of Cynthia (c1780) and likely others.
