DNA results TBD
Family Tree DNA currently does not have a Crossman surname DNA Project, but they do have a Cross*, *cross surname project which has a total of three individuals with the Crossm?n surname. All three have only tested 12 STR markers and two have been predicted to fall under R-M269 (with the third not receiving and predicted haplogroup). It is currently unknown whether any of these individuals are patrilineal descendants of Robert Crossman (father of Joseph).
Further needed testing
We need to discover whether any patrilineal (all male-line) descendants of Robert Crossman (and preferably through his son Joseph) are still living and WGS/NGS test to identify the haplogroup placement.
