He died Kittery, ME bet 1 May 1682 (will) and 16 May 1682 (inventory). He married twice, first by 1639 Mary ____ and second by 1658 widow Judith ____ (no ch.) By his first wife he had two children (Kittery): Sarah (c1647) and Jonathan (by 1650).

+Robert Mendum was named in the 1682 will of his grandfather, Robert Mendum. In his 1701 probate record, it is stated he had been absent for ten years and presumed dead. It is believed this Robert Mendum was a sailor, and likely was lost at sea.
