He died at the end of Oct 1662 at Barnstable. He married twice, first Hawkhurst, Kent 7 May 1617 Sarah Soole then at Barnstable 15 Dec 1657 Bridget (-----)(no children). The family were recorded in the passenger list of the ''Hercules'' dated 15 Mar 1634/5. They first resided at Scituate, but moved to the new town of Barnstable in 1639. By his first wife, Samuel had 16 children: Thomas (1619/20), John (1622-1627), Susannah (1625), Mary (1627/8 d.y.), [[Henry Cobb (Y-DNA)#First Generation |Sarah]] (1629), Mary (1631), Elizabeth (1632/3-1633), John (1634-1634), Elizabeth (1635), Samuel (1637/8-1638), Samuel (1638/9-1640/1), dau.
